Our Hospice Philosophy
First Call Hospice embraces patients with any kind of life-limiting illness, regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation or ability to pay. Our services are fully covered by Medicare Part A which takes immense financial stress off the patient and their family. We provide services and programs that can help individuals live complete and rich lives in spite of loss and grief. Hospice care is directed by the patients and family along with the patient’s physician and our medical director. Nurses, social workers, hospice aids, spiritual advisors and trained volunteers work as an expert team to provide compassionate care. The team focuses on providing comfort and pain relief when a cure is not possible. The goal is to help each person live as fully as possible and to help the family and loved ones participate in their loved one’s care.
