Volunteering
Is it right for me?
First Call Hospice continues to provide life changing service to all our services areas. Volunteers are invited to continue in person visits to work with our Volunteer Coordinator to contribute support to the community. Safety equipment is offered as an option to all volunteers completing in-person visits.
You can make a difference
Support our community
Our goal is to create an environment in which patients, families, staff, and hospice volunteers are treated with respect and dignity. When a hospice volunteer is assigned a patient we want the volunteer to become an integral member of that patient’s interdisciplinary team.
To make a difference in someone’s world, you don’t have to be amazing, rich, talented, or beautiful. You just have to be YOU
So many ways to help our community
Companionship
Respite care for family members and other caregivers
Massage, music or pet therapy, healing touch or other alternative therapies
At First Call Hospice, we thoroughly interview our volunteers and provide training before they are allowed to help patients. This helps us find the best fit for each of our patient’s needs. Our volunteers become an important part of the patient’s care team. Volunteers do not need to have a medical background, meaning anyone can join!
